Named by the daughter of developer William Giddings Farrington for a favorite book - Tanglewood Tales - Tanglewood has blossomed into one of Houston's most desirable neighborhoods in the seven decades since Farrington set out to create an idyllic neighborhood replete with stunning homes, wide lawns and tree-lined streets.


In keeping with Farrington's original plan for the neighborhood, Pelican Builders and global Hall of Fame interior architect Lauren Rottet drew inspiration for the new 17-story high-rise from the surrounding beauty of its prime Tanglewood location. The iconic designer is placing a premium on green spaces throughout, including a layer of ivy that will completely envelop the perimeter, and the dramatic port-cochère surrounded by views of greenery.

  • Reinforced concrete frame consisting of a rigid column and flat slab building frame. Floor and roof slabs will be 8" thick, reinforced with high strength post-tensioned steel reinforcement along column lines (two way) and mild-steel reinforcement
  • Exterior walls consist of 100% pre-cast architectural concrete panels and commercial quality window glazing system
  • Commercial grade dual pane, insulated, low-e coated, clear glass windows
  • Resident demising walls to be double stud walls with 5/8" studs, (2) layers 5/8" gypsum board each side, acoustic insulation on each side, 1" air space between studs
  • Trash chute access on each floor
